Replica of the famous model of CIJ 1920s. One of a kind.

Fulgurex (Lausanne, Switzerland. Railway collectors will know them) also manufactured car models in ancient times. Top models, but also smaller models, which were usually traded under other names (e.g. REXTOYS).

The previous owner of Fulgurex, Conte Antonio Giansanti Coluzzi (1915 - 2003), well-known in collector circles, wanted always to have such a CIJ Alfa Romeo model (as tradition says). It never became true. So his workers decided to build such a model for him for his 70th birthday 1985. The facilities and skills were there already, their locomotives etc. are all top class models.

So the wheels were ordered and built to order by a specialist producing model spare parts in Italy (documents are with me) according to old patterns. The worker's pride did not allow them to just buy wheels or a scrapmodel. The sheet metal body and everything was made from scratch. The model incorporates design features from old CIJ series of the 1920s and 1930s, and is largely like the very last series, manufactured by CIJ 1985 (20 pieces).

As figures a "GI Joe" (United States) doll has been adapted and dressed to breathe some life into the birthday gift. As it has no drive like the originals by CIJ.
