Coachwork: Fernandez & Darrin
Designer: Gordon Buehrig
Chassis Num: 2503
Engine Num: J-481

Film star Greta Garbo owned this long wheelbase cabriolet with chassis number 2503 and engine J-481, built by famed Paris coachwork partnership of Fernandez & Darrin. Only four bodies were built by Fernandez & Darrin on Duesenberg chassis. This stellar example of their work was first exhibited at the 1932 Paris Auto Salon. It carries the French safety bumpers and extended trunk with rear mounted spare tires

Four Duesenbergs were bodied by Fernandez & Darrin with a Convertible Victoria style; two long wheelbase and two short wheelbase chassis. Featured is the most famous of these, which was sold new to actress Greta Garbo. It was first shown at the 1932 Paris Auto Salon. This car is regarded as one of the finest coachbuilt car ever built upon a Duesenberg chassis. Originaly presented in black and blue scheme, it was repainted dark red later. Since it as been retored in the original color Blue/Black and shown at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Duesenberg was the featured marque.
