Virus Alfa!
ALFA ROMEO ..... Contagious and impossible to get rid of.

Contagion: Around 1962, on the occasion of the purchase of a Giulietta Spider 1958, even before the the driving license was granted.
Virility: persistent until 1994, when an incident led to almost 20 years of abstinence from buying new Alfa Romeo cars.

2013 the 4C! I HAD to have it! So it happened.....vow broken.

But - and this is important here - even during the buying abstinence the Alfa virus raged on in me. Since about 1968 I have been collecting ALFA ROMEO models, continuously and with increasing enthusiasm. On the occasion of the move in 1985 I had to (was allowed to) pack 1167 models. Since then there was no more counting, only estimating. Since about 2001, I record all new acquisitions (and a few from old stock) in a collector's database. There are 2600+ goodies in this newer database to date (2023).

Calculate: Some 3000 are in there. And another estimated 1500 may not yet be recorded anywhere ....China sends its regards... I no longer just go along with everything. What is the use of the same Giulias in the same scale, in multiple versions/decorations, from many different manufacturers, which ultimately all come from the same factory?

The collection consists mainly of models of all scales, even 1:1, but also of everything that bears the name, picture or emblem. Postcards, pins, phone cards, advertising, gadgets, literature, etc. etc.

My goal in here will be to show what can not be seen or purchased on every corner.

So don't expect thousands, but the not everyday items.

Because my pictures are taken only for documentation, many are of insufficient quality.

This will improve ........... comes time, comes (new) picture.........
