The Story of the BMW 535i (E34)
The BMW 535i from the E34 generation is part of the 5 Series, first introduced back in 1987. Production of this series lasted until 1996. This is the third generation of the 5 Series and it’s well-known for its solid design, crafted by designer Claus Luthe and his team. The E34 mixed innovative tech with high-quality craftsmanship and sharp lines. It took over from the E28 and boasted significantly improved aerodynamics, a sturdier body structure, and cool features like an optional electronic suspension system. Under the hood, the 535i had a 3.5-liter (0.9-gallon) inline-six engine that pumped out 211 horsepower, reaching a top speed of about 143 mph (230 km/h).
