The original Porsche 911 (964) RWB

The Porsche 911 (964) is the third generation of the Porsche 911 series and was built from 1989 to 1994. Famous for its iconic design and significant technical advances compared to its predecessor, the G model, it remains a sought-after classic. The 964 is known for its aerodynamically improved body, the first available all-wheel-drive system (in the 911 Carrera 4), and increased power. The design was created by the in-house Porsche design team. The chief designer during this time was Hans Mezger, who played a central role in developing the air-cooled engines.During its time, the Porsche 911 (964) offered various engine options. The Carrera 2 and Carrera 4, for example, were equipped with a 3.6-liter air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine producing 250 horsepower. The Turbo model, featuring a 3.3-liter turbocharged engine, also made the 964 highly popular among car enthusiasts. Interesting technical details include modern brakes, an improved suspension, and an electronic engine management system. In 1989, when the 964 was introduced, the fall of the Berlin Wall was one of the most significant political events, and Michael Jackson released the song "Leave Me Alone".
