This is RAF 2203 Ambulance. The model is made in The Soviet Union in scale 1:43. Everything opens besides the hood and the strecher in the back can be taken out.

RAF-2203 are minibuses serially produced at the factory of RAF which stands for Riga Bus Factory in 1976-1997. The cars of this model were widely used as official vehicles, ambulances and shuttles until the 2000s, in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan were replaced by "Gazelles", and in the rest of the former Soviet republics - by second-hand minibuses.

The first batch of serial minibuses RAF-2203, timed to the opening of the 25th Congress of the CPSU, left the assembly line of the new car factory in December 1975, and from February of the next year gradual development of mass production began. At the beginning of 1977, the main modification - the ambulance car RAF-22031 "Latvia" officially entered the conveyor. The most important task of the plant in the Soviet era was the export of cars to the socialist and developing countries. Minibuses and ambulances in special export performance were actively supplied to Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, the East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Finland, Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Panama, Cuba and other countries. After the collapse of the USSR, the export of RAF minibuses abroad began to decline rapidly and in a few years stopped completely. Minibus RAF-2203 had a spacious well-lit cabin with individual anatomical seats and a heated passenger compartment, which set a relatively high level of passenger comfort and was of paramount importance when using a minibus as an ambulance. Comparatively good ergonomics of the driver's workplace and driving performance at the passenger car level made possible long trips by minibus.

The wide unification of spare parts with other cars and the convenient location of almost all the main engine components and suspension created favorable conditions for simple and quick repairs. Wagon configuration made the minivan very maneuverable. Due to the use of the chassis of the "Volga" car, the minibus had a very soft smooth running. In addition, RAF-2203 (especially the early release) had a very aesthetic appearance, and its silhouette became a kind of symbol of the 1980s.
