BMW X6 F16 as a Police Model in 1/43 scale

The photos from Modelly member “GaborsPoliceGarage143” show a police model based on the BMW X6 (F16). The second generation carries the internal model code F16 and was built from 2014 onward. Its predecessor was the BMW X6 (E71), which introduced BMW’s idea of a Sports Activity Coupé in the model lineup back in 2008. The BMW X6 (F16) combines a raised body with a sloping roofline and a coupé-style rear. Compared with the previous model, the dimensions grew slightly: the length is around 4.91 meters (16.1 feet), the width is about 1.99 meters (6.5 feet), and the wheelbase is 2.93 meters (9.6 feet), depending on the version. The real car was offered with rear-wheel drive or BMW’s variable all-wheel-drive system xDrive. The model shown here, based on the rear badge and styling, appears to be a version in the spirit of the BMW X6 M (F86), the performance-oriented variant built on the same basic body.

BMW X6 technology and features of the M version

For the BMW X6 (F16), BMW offered several turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines. Depending on the market, the range included inline-six diesel engines, inline-six gasoline engines, and V8 powertrains. Power was mostly sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. The BMW X6 M (F86) came with a 4.4-liter V8 with twin-turbo charging, 423 kW (575 hp) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. This version comes standard with xDrive, an M-tuned suspension, M Servotronic steering, and an active rear differential. The 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) sprint is listed at 4.2 seconds for the BMW X6 M (F86); top speed was normally electronically limited. Other signature details include large air intakes, four exhaust tips, and a rear bumper with a diffuser-style insert. The small collectible model copies several of these visible body features, especially the sporty front end, the wide rear bumper area, and the four-exhaust layout.

Modified police model by ?(Unknown)

Important for collectors: this example is a modified miniature vehicle and is not the product originally made by the manufacturer ?(Unknown). It is a custom build with police decals and extra details that were added to the visible model. The base is a 1/43 scale model car, made by ?(Unknown). The model is made from mixed materials; you can see a painted body shell, transparent plastic parts for the windows and lights, rubber tires, and metallic-looking wheel inserts and trim elements. On the roof, there’s a blue warning light bar mounted across the top. Its blue-and-white sections stand out against the body color. The windshield, side windows, and rear window are tinted dark, so the interior is only barely visible. The wheels have silver multi-spoke rims and black tires with molded tread detail.

Blue police paint scheme and details from the GaborsPoliceGarage143 collection

The 1/43 scale model car, made by ?(Unknown), wears a metallic blue paint finish with silver and dark gray graphic panels. The side design features silver curved stripes over the wheel arches and dark, arrow-like inserts on the doors and front fenders. The word “POLIZEI” appears on both doors, along with a small crest. “POLIZEI” is also written on the hood and on the tailgate. The roof also shows a light-colored marking, which is visible from the higher viewing angle in one of the photos. At the rear, the red taillights, a BMW emblem, an “X6 M” badge, and a license plate reading “BP 2432” are reproduced. The clear separation between blue, silver, and black makes the lines of the BMW X6 (F16) easy to follow. What really stands out in the photos is the combination of the sloping roofline, the wide rear fenders, the wheels, and the roof light bar. The shot in front of a blurred vehicle hall helps present the miniature as a police conversion in the collection of “GaborsPoliceGarage143”.
