The miniature shown is based on the racer Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, built for the namesake one-make series. The car belongs to the 1st generation of the Huracán, produced from 2014, and it replaced the Gallardo in Lamborghini’s racing line-up. Its direct predecessor in the cup was the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, which still used all-wheel drive. With the Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo Lamborghini switched to rear-wheel drive, aiming for a lighter, simpler race car for the European, Asian and North American Super Trofeo rounds. The model shown from the Modelly member “Lambonando” depicts the 2015 version, so basically the car’s first competition season. The design and lines come from Filippo Perini (design), and R&D was led by Maurizio Reggiani. The aero was tuned for the series’ spec tires and optimized for on-track balance and low operating costs.
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo uses the familiar 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine (5.2 liters (1.37 US gallons)). For the cup it’s rated at about 456 kW (≈613 hp; 620 PS) with durability in mind. Power goes through a sequential race gearbox with paddle shifts to the rear wheels; compared to the road car’s dual-clutch setup this reduces weight and complexity. The chassis mixes an aluminum structure with composites and includes a bolted-in roll cage built to FIA regs. Aero features are large front and side intakes, an adjustable rear wing, front splitter and diffuser. The brakes are big steel discs with racing pads and use dedicated cooling ducts in the front bumper and fenders. The series runs on Pirelli tires, with compounds tuned for quick warm-up and consistent performance. The car’s weight is significantly lower than the road version, which gives a favorable power-to-weight ratio. The body keeps the Huracán’s sharp wedge lines, plus extra vents on the hood and engine cover — details you can spot in the photos of the model.
This is a model car in 1/43 scale, made by Looksmart. The piece is in the collection of the Modelly member “Lambonando”. The release shows the 2015 spec with the typical Super Trofeo sponsor decals. The miniature is diecast metal. You can see the pronounced front intakes reproduced as fine mesh inserts. The hood has the two characteristic vents, and the flat headlights with the Y‑motif are nicely captured. The windshield has a big “BLANCPAIN” decal like in the real series. On the side there’s race number 63, the series logo and a thin stripe in the Italian flag colors. The big rear wing has a carbon-look print, and its supports are rendered in a metal finish. At the rear the diffuser with multiple vertical fins stands out, and the front and rear feature red aero accents that are clearly picked out on the model. The tire sidewalls even have yellow Pirelli markings. The wheels use a red center nut, matching the racing look. The model sits on a base with a nameplate “Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo 2015”, so it’s easy to ID on a shelf. In short: a 1/43 Looksmart model aimed at collectors who want an accurate, space-friendly version of a one-make Huracán.
The model’s paint is a dark, metallic-looking base color. Red accents pick out the front splitter, side skirts and the lower edge of the diffuser; those contrast bits make the aero pieces stand out from the rest of the body. The sides show race number 63 plus sponsor stickers like “BLANCPAIN”, “ALCANTARA” and “X‑BIONIC”. The roof and engine cover have hinted vents; at the rear you’ve got the thin, horizontal taillights characteristic of the Huracán. The rear wing has a printed carbon finish and looks like it’s bolted to the body on two supports. The front carries the small Lamborghini badge in the center of the grille. Overall the wedge shape and wide wheel arches read well in miniature, so the proportions of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo come across convincingly. For collectors, the combo of a labeled base, cleanly applied decals and true race styling makes this Looksmart 1/43 model a solid pick if you’re building a one-make or Lamborghini display.
