The BMW 3/15 ..... the first automobile from BMW!
1928 BMW took over the factory of the Eisenach vehicle factory and produced as a licensed building the English English small car Austin 7 (known as BMW Dixi)
From 1929 slight changes were made and so was the BMW 3/15 DA the first "right" BMW. "DA" stands for "German execution" as a distinguishing feature to English Austin 7.
Unfortunately, the 3/15 came right into the time of the Great Depression, and so the sales soon dropped.
Also the quality was rather average. So the crankshaft was a significant weak point, and first versions had a mileage of 5'000 - 50'000 kilometers ......

Engine:
750cc displacement, 4 cylinders and 15 hp power.
Top speed 75 km / h. However, no permanent top speed was recommended, the crankshaft then suffered even faster ......

The model:
Wonderful and perfectly implemented model of AUTOart. Even the smallest details are perfectly implemented. Thus, the cables for the front brakes on the underside of the model are visible and the Winker for turning are movable. Inside, carpet mats are laid out in the rough-hewn style, and in the hold you will find an opening toolbox with a jack.
The model is despite its "size" (or smallness) certainly a highlight of AUTOart.

specifically:
Some of the model may be familiar ...... it comes from the collection of our unfortunately deceased forum member Wolfram. I promised his wife to honor it and as a souvenir and special greeting the last photo is in black and white.

For Wolfram ....... 1942 - 2016
