The short-wheelbase 250 GT Berlinetta ('passo corto', known in English as SWB) was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1959 and was the embodiment of the perfect road racing car. From 1961, the corresponding clientele was able to purchase the vehicle from dealers.
With only a few small changes (including lower temperature spark plugs, racing tires and a roll bar), the car was able to compete on all racetracks in the world and fight for victory in its class.

Engine:
3.0 liter V12 engine delivered 286 hp and thus the car reached a remarkable 268 km / h (and the 1961!)

The model shown here has a special role model:
Only 3 vehicles were built as right-hand drive. This car here was ordered by Rob Walker for his racing team in 1960 and driven by Stirling Moss.

To the model:
Beautifully designed by HotWheels in the "Elite" version. The paint is perfect and the chrome parts are full and well applied. The interior is a bit simple, but well made and the engine, as usual in the Elite versions, made perfect. In this model, the spokes are a bit "coarser" designed than usual.
The overall impression of the model is quite outstanding.
I once tried to design a so-called "after-race" version. So, or something like that, the vehicle might have looked like a race. Dirt marks on the body and the spoke rims give the model a more realistic look.
