The Mercedes 300SL "Gullwing" ..... Probably one of the most famous sports car in the world!
Its premiere had the car in 1954 at the Auto Show in New York. The price was far above that of a "normal" sports car, but the 300SL was not the most expensive Mercedes in the model range.
The design calls for a to "climbing work" when boarding. As an aid, but the steering wheel can be folded away in the bottom half (which, however, requires that the steering is either straight or then in a full revolution ......)
The interior can occasionally heat up significantly, the window can not be also open only a small hinged window can be opened slightly. Inside there is room for some luggage, as the "trunk" of the spare wheel and the filler neck of the tank is quite full.
Engine: 3.0 liter 6-cylinder with 215 hp. Consumption approx 15 liters per 100 kilometers. Normally fitted with a 100 liter fuel tank was installed in the rear. On request, there was also a 130-liter capacity.
