Citroen SM .... A collaboration between Citroen and Maserati. The meaning of the two letters is not fully understood. Either for sports or Maserati Maserati series.
The vehicle was built 1970-1975 and was only a moderate success. Today the car is considered to be a style icon.
The Citroen workshops were overwhelmed by the complicated engine from Maserati. This quickly led to negative reactions among customers.
The cornering light was like the Citroen DS, in the curve mitlenkend. The total of 6 headlights were set so that in each case the entire curve, including the end of the curve, was illuminated.
