The Wartburg 353, an East German car, was produced from 1975-1988. It was developed by engineers from VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach, including Gunter Kunert and Herbert Schwabe. The Wartburg 353 was available as a sedan and estate and was one of the most commonly used vehicles in the GDR. The car was known for its reliability and relative ease of maintenance.
