Background on the original car and classification

This model is based on the supercar Lamborghini Reventón, a limited-run derivative of the Murciélago. The Lamborghini Reventón was introduced at the 2007 IAA and its design is heavily inspired by modern fighter jets. Characteristic features are the angular panels, the sharp front end and the wedge-shaped silhouette. The series can be classified as First generation; the production period was 2007–2009 (Coupé) bzw. 2009–2010 (Roadster). A total of 20 coupés (plus one extra for the factory) and 15 roadsters were made. The launch price was roughly one million euros before taxes. The technical predecessor is the Murciélago LP640, from which the Lamborghini Reventón takes its basic mid-engine, all-wheel-drive layout. The design was done at the Lamborghini Centro Stile; key people involved were Filippo Perini and, at the group level, Walter de Silva. Technical responsibility was handled by Maurizio Reggiani, who as development chief coordinated the chassis and drivetrain setup.

Technical specs and special features of the original

In the rear of the Lamborghini Reventón sits a longitudinally mounted 6.5‑liter V12 naturally aspirated engine (6.5 liters / 1.72 US gallons). For the coupé it was rated at 650 PS (478 kW (641 hp)) and a torque of 660 Nm (487 lb‑ft). That lets the car do 0–100 km/h (0–62.1 mph) in about 3.4 s, with a top speed of roughly 340 km/h (about 211 mph). Power goes through a 6‑speed gearbox (manual or the automated “e‑gear”), and traction is handled by a permanent all‑wheel drive with a viscous center coupling. The setup is rear‑biased and varies with driving conditions. The chassis is derived from the Murciélago: a tubular steel structure with composite elements, with body panels made from carbon fiber. The wheelbase measures 2665 mm (105.0 inches / 8.75 ft), and the curb weight is around 1665 kg (3,670 pounds). Aerodynamically, the Lamborghini Reventón stands out with large side intakes, an underbody with a diffuser and variable cooling intakes at the rear. The glass engine cover has several louver‑like windows that show off the V12. Carbon‑ceramic brake discs were part of the factory equipment. Inside you’ll find a cockpit dominated by digital displays, either with an analog look or fully digital readouts, including longitudinal and lateral acceleration indicators. A special paint called “Grigio Reventón” — a matte steel‑gray finish — characterized the series and emphasized the sharp surface geometry.

The AUTOart Performance model in collector scale

The photos show a model car at scale 1/18 from AUTOart Performance, from the collection of the Modelly member “Phat-T.” It’s a diecast model, which gives it a solid build and a satisfying weight. The proportions of the Lamborghini Reventón are accurately reproduced: very low front end, flat roofline and the wide, angular rear. Notice the matte finish that matches the original “Grigio Reventón.” The surface has a fine metallic grain with a strong matte effect, so the light picks out clear edges along the creases. You can see the black five‑spoke wheels with faceted details and the small gold bull badge in the hubs. The front headlights are made from clear parts, with small triangular position lights on the sides. The side profile shows the characteristic air intakes with an indicated carbon texture on the rear sill. The cover over the engine is implemented with multiple transparent louvers, like the real car, and the engine bay is painted a dark contrasting color. Inside you can spot the two‑tone seats; on the right side of the cockpit there’s a “REVENTON” badge, matching the original’s sharply defined panels. The mirrors are slim and finished in a dark tone. The photos also show tight fitment of the glass and deep wheel arches, which give the model a convincing stance.

Collector tips, display and model details

For collectors, this 1/18 AUTOart Performance model is a great way to show off the bold lines of the Lamborghini Reventón in a manageable size. The diecast construction leaves visible panel gaps along the doors and engine cover, which actually helps to underline the angular geometry. The window panes are clear and distortion‑free; through them you can see a simple but convincing dashboard with a dark instrument panel and light seats. There’s a small, neatly printed bull badge on the front hood and matching center caps on the wheels. From above, the straight roofline down to the rear and the multi‑section glazing are clearly modeled in three stages. The pronounced side sills with their wedge cuts and the large rear intakes are precisely executed. For display, I’d recommend a dust‑protected case, because matte finishes like this show dust more noticeably in photos. This piece from “Phat‑T” documents the typical look of the Lamborghini Reventón in gray with dark wheels and crisp edges — a good civic for studying the design language of this limited supercar and comparing it to related Murciélago variants.
