The model car shown here in 1/25 scale is a modified miniature of the famous Porsche 918 in the Martini Racing Weissach version, made by Revell. For passionate collectors, this precise replica offers impressive attention to detail and an authentic representation of the original. Although based on the original Revell model, it features specific modifications that make it unique and distinguish it from the original version produced by Revell.
The Porsche 918 was produced in the 2013-2015 generation and was a technical masterpiece at the time of its launch. The car was designed by co-creators Michael Mauer and Wolfgang Hatz, an engineer, who were responsible for the striking design and outstanding performance. It features a hybrid system with a total output of 887 horsepower, consisting of a 4.6-liter V8 engine and two electric motors. The car reaches a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.6 seconds. The Porsche 918 succeeded the Carrera GT and set new standards in performance and eco-conscious technology.
This special miniature, owned by Modelly member "The-Dude," is significantly different from the regular version. It is a model car in 1/25 scale, made of plastic which, due to the special modifications, does not correspond to the original Revell product. In the photos, you can see finely crafted interior elements like the detailed cockpit displaying the speedometers, the central screen, and the Porsche logo on the steering wheel. The carbon accents in the dashboard area and the exterior mirrors are also realistically reproduced, showcasing a high attention to detail.
The Martini Racing design is another highlight of the Porsche 918, which also adorns the model car. The black paint with the distinctive blue and red longitudinal stripes gives the vehicle a special look traditionally associated with Porsche. Other remarkable technical data of the original include the active aerodynamics system and the fully variable all-wheel steering, contributing to the driving dynamics and making the car perform exceptionally on the racetrack. It is also interesting to note that the Porsche 918 model was produced in a limited quantity of only 918 units, making it an exclusive collector's item.
