GAZ-93 - a dump truck created at the Gorky Automobile Plant and the Ural Automobile Plant, which was produced in the period from 1948 to 1959 at the Odessa car assembly plant, and from 1960 to 1976 at the Saransk Dump Truck Plant. Dump trucks in the first post-war years, when the whole country was being restored, were necessary to the national economy. However, they were sorely lacking. Yaroslavl Automobile Plant, which before the war produced heavy dump trucks, switched to new products. The newly built Minsk Automobile Plant received documentation from Yaroslavl and prepared for production two-axle 6-ton dump trucks MAZ-205. The Moscow Automobile Plant named after Stalin also prepared a new model. Gorky Automobile Plant was no exception. GAZ-93 dump trucks were a logical continuation of low-tonnage GAZ-410 dump trucks built on the chassis of the famous "lorry". They were indispensable in agriculture, rural construction on small construction sites. However, the massive shortage of dump trucks in the 50's forced to use these two-tonnage machines and in much larger construction sites of the country. These dump trucks have become one of the most massive, yielding only the ZiS-MMZ trucks (ZIL-MMZ). By the 1970s, the 93rd dump trucks were obsolete, had too little carrying capacity and platform capacity. In agriculture, more lifting models such as GAZ-SAZ-53B began to be used. All this led to the fact that not only the GAZ-93 were withdrawn from production, but in less than 7-8 years and their heirs were 3503 and 3504.
