The Maserati 300 S was the evolution of the Type 2500 Sport.
A total of 27 chassis were built. The 300S was a popular customer vehicle and a financial success for Maserati. The demand, especially from private teams, had to be fulfilled. The bodies were manufactured by Fantuzzi, all right-handed Spyder versions, none of which were identical to the other.

Engine / technology:
3.0 liter displacement, 6 cylinders with three Weber double carburettors and 260 HP power.
The maximum speed was Maserati with 290 km / h.
Rear there were transverse leaf springs and front coil springs. The 300S had drum brakes. The light metal housing had star-shaped perforated cooling ribs. This provided more cooling in the heat and made the water drain more easily in the rain. The brakes were hydraulically operated.

The model:
Unique and perfectly implemented model by CMC. Again, the name says it all .....
Even the smallest details were implemented. Leather seats, movable fuel filler flaps incl. Vents complete wiring, genuine leather straps for the hoods, pull-wire mechanism for the doors and removable wheels with right- and left-hand thread are just some of the features.

Naturally, the so-called "Rolling Chassis", which is available as a separate "model", fits this model. The lattice tube frame, which is reproduced down to the smallest detail, is made of almost 2000 parts. The showpiece offers a perfect and "unobstructed" view of the engine, wiring and all other details.

Together, both pieces form a real highlight in a collection.
