The model shown here is based on the Ford Focus ST of the third generation (MK3), which was built from 2011 to 2018. The ST version was introduced in 2012 as the sporty trim of Ford’s compact Focus range, replacing the second-generation Focus ST, which was sold from 2005 to 2011. While the predecessor in Europe used a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine, the Ford Focus ST MK3 got a turbocharged four-cylinder instead. The gasoline version used a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine with 184 kW or 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque. Power went to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. Ford quoted about 6.5 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) and a top speed of 248 km/h (154 mph). Technical features included an electronic torque vectoring system using targeted brake intervention, a sport-tuned suspension and steering setup, and upgraded brakes. The third-gen Focus body design was led by then Ford design chief Martin Smith; the styling with slim headlights, an rising window line, and a trapezoidal grille was part of Ford’s design language at the time.
The photos show the early, pre-facelift version of the Ford Focus ST built before the 2015 refresh. You can spot the long headlights, the large lower honeycomb air intake, the round fog lights, and the specially shaped front bumper. At the rear, the car has a roof spoiler, a rear bumper with a diffuser-style insert, and two center-mounted exhaust tips. The ST badge on the tailgate points to Ford Team RS, or Ford’s Sport Technologies division. The paint is listed on the base as Panther Black Metallic. In the photos it looks like a very dark black with metallic effects: light reflections on the hood, doors, roof, and fenders make the shape of the five-door hatchback stand out. Clear plastic headlights at the front and red-tinted taillights create a contrast against the dark body. The dark wheels, black window trim, and tinted glass also fit that understated sporty look. The roof spoiler, wider-looking bumpers, side skirts, and ST badges together clearly show the sporty compact car version.
This model car from the collection of Modelly member “Walter1” is a model in 1/43 scale, made by Minichamps. The miniature is mounted on a black display base; the label says “Ford Focus ST” and “Panther-Black Metallic.” The model is made from diecast material, meaning the body is cast metal, while small parts like the lights, mirrors, windshield wipers, and interior details may be made from other materials. In this size, the five-door body with its four side door handles, side mirrors, and the pronounced C-pillar line is easy to recognize. You can also see the separately molded-looking front headlights with reflective inserts, the black grille structure, the suggested brake discs behind the wheels, and red brake caliper accents. The rear carries a blue-and-white Ford oval, the Focus model name, and a red ST badge. The shape of the roof spoiler, the rear window with a suggested wiper, and the two exhaust outlets complete the typical Ford Focus ST look.
This 1/43 scale model car from Minichamps is marked as a limited edition: 1 of 1,824 pieces worldwide. The limitation info is clearly visible on the right side of the base and places the model within a numbered production run. The photos show a version with no opening parts, which is pretty common for diecast miniatures in this scale. That means the focus is on the exterior shape, the paint, and the display presentation on the base. From the front, the slightly downward-sloping hood and the headlights that stretch far into the fenders stand out; from the side, you can see the compact proportions, the short rear overhang, and the rising roofline. The rear three-quarter view makes the red taillights that stretch far outward and the black roof spoiler especially noticeable. For Ford model collectors, this miniature documents the gasoline ST version of the Ford Focus ST MK3 before the facelift, combined with the factory dark metallic paint and a clearly labeled display base.
